Synopsis:

This standards area addresses the execution of technology-based instruction within the scope of the curriculum. Technology should be used to accent the learning process with consideration to the needs of all learners.

Curriculum standards should already be manifested within lesson plans, but technology-based resources and methods can impart learning exercises more efficiently. Modern tools can help ensure that the diverse needs of the class are met. This may include supplemental material that reinforces concepts or encourages divergent thinking and exploration.

With technology, the challenge of individualized instruction becomes easier. Content can be delivered to students in self-paced formats or in a way that accounts for multilingual needs. This NETS*T standards area reminds teachers that a true learning environment is one that includes all participants.
