NETS*T 5C: Teachers apply technology to increase productivity.

Nutrition on the go! is the first webquest I designed. After its construction I became more aware of how a webquest can be used as a tool for instruction. The first and obvious is that the webquest's journey is a Health lesson that can be used for Intermediate to Secondary grade levels. Additionally, so many resources are available through the site that it would take a long time to exhaust them all. A learner-centered approach would allow the students to pursue what interested them. Finally, it does not require much effort for the teacher to add another objective, resource, or another lesson entirely to be used with this site. For instance, the Lesson Plan #1: Nutrition Spreadsheet was such an extension. And so, with a technology tool like a webquest, the teacher's productivity in teaching a subject is enhanced. A link to the webquest is included below.
